Orsi Vigneto San Vito is a small family-run winery located in the Bolognesi Hills, in the town of Oliveto in an area historically suited for the production of wine.
The company has been active for over 50 years, but it was only in 2005, with the arrival of Federico Orsi and his wife Carola, that the decisive change of implements and philosophy took place. The couple immediately decided to focus on biodynamics, with the firm belief that it is the only way to produce wines with a strong territorial identity. To fully respect the vocation of the area, and to produce wines that are an authentic expression of this terroir, agriculture is practiced that is capable of revitalizing the land, stimulating the plants, and producing fruits characterized by a symbiotic bond with the place of origin. In its own vineyards, the pignoletto, barbera and cabernet sauvignon wines do not undergo fertilization or irrigation, and only small quantities of sulfur and copper are used to protect them from the main pathogens. A work carried out in full respect of nature, excluding synthetic products, with a view to a closed-cycle company aimed at preserving biodiversity. In the cellar the fermentations are spontaneous without the use of selected yeasts, the processes are essential, never invasive, to arrive at the bottling carried out rigorously without filtration and clarification. Orsi Vigneto San Vito offers wines of tradition and experimentation which, in addition to being able to express thoughts outside the homologations of winemakers in love with their work, tell us the territory with sincerity.
