La Volta – Mas Gomà

Mas Gomà is a Spanish winery, Catalan to be precise, which produces only strictly artisanal natural wines using only local grapes, representing its terroir in the best possible way. We are in the Penedès region between Barcelona and Terragona where the local varieties of Xarello and Macabeu dominate, widely used in the production of cava,
The same principles are also applied in the cellar, with the use of spontaneous fermentations, indigenous yeasts and without resorting to sulphites, in order to preserve the varietal aromas of the grapes and the characteristics of the vintage. An approach that reduces winemaking practices to the limit, always leaving the grapes in the foreground in their purity and expressive immediacy. A production of natural character that is inspired by the wines that were produced by previous generations. Precisely the desire to resume the ancient traditions of the territory pushed Mas Gomà to recover the old local vines which are able to restore the authentic taste of the place.
