Description
Filip Rebula is one of the top wines from Štekar winery. Made only from organic Rebula grape, which is native to this small little wine region of the world. The grapes are pulled from the vines by hand, and brought immediately into the cellar. With two month skins contact this can be defined an “orange” wine but still able to keep an enticing natural earthy nuance which makes it unique even in the vast panorama of excellent Slovenian wines.
This top white from Stekar is enjoyable now, but it will continue to develop its sophistication and grace over years in the bottle
Vinification
natural fermentation in old French oak barrique took place with the skins still in contact with the must for 2-months time, before pressing and continuing its aging process in the same wood barrels for an additional 24 months. Without filtering or fining
