Description
Piantagrane (the meaning is literally “troublemaker”). Is another wonderful reinterpretation of Villa Job Pinot Gris grapes, an exceptional basal variety that can give its true essence only through skin contact.. Alessandro Job wanted to dedicate two different minks to this beautiful grape. Two different skin contact a short one for the Piantagrane and a long one for the Guastafeste. Like his brother Guastafeste also Piantagrane is harvested almost at the last moment in order to have the maximum concentration while keeping its acid shoulder intact.
The result is a dry pinot grigio with nice minerality and intense finish on the palate.
Alessandro recommends opening 30 minutes before drinking and drinking it at a cool but not cold temperature.
Vinification
Piantagrane is macerated briefly on the skins obtained from Pinot grigio grapes from different parcels. Refinement inside spent barrels and concrete tanks for 9 months.
