Description
It is and organic, no oak, fresh, elegant rich, yet fruity and very approachable wine. Rioja reinvented, eschewing the use of oak barrels to keep intact the real terroir of Rioja Alta and Garnacha grapes. Bodegas Moraza vineyards are located between 450m and 650m with clay and limestone soils.
Drinking beautifully now, but could be saved for years.
Vinification
Grapes are handpicked. Spontaneous fermentation, short maceration in concrete tanks. Once the alcoholic fermentation is done, it falls by gravity into smaller concrete tanks ageing for 1 year and a half in concrete tanks and the rest in bottle. No oak.
Pairing
Pairs well with lamb. Sip by itself, with pork, chorizo, cheese or a bean chilli. Also a great party wine.
