Elemart Robion Champagne
The vineyard of Champagne ELEMART ROBION is located in the Ardre Valley, south-west of Reims. The vineyards, worked by the parents and grandparents and great-grandparents of Catherine and Thierry, were converted to organic culture in 2010. The official certification takes place in 2014.
There is a clayey-limestone and sandy soil. The four grape varieties: Meunier, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Petit Meslier, a rare value in Champagne, flourish in this soil.
Catherine and Thierry Robion, joined by their eldest son Eloi, have chosen organic farming practices to protect, reveal and enhance the particularity and minerality of their soil. At harvest time, a rigorous sorting of the grapes is organised, picking them at just the right maturity and then quickly sending them to the Domaine’s wine presses.
At the ELEMART ROBION Champagne winery, each grape variety and each parcel is differentiated and vinified separately to allow the purity of the terroir to express itself. Vinification is done slowly and naturally, in a non-interventionist approach. There is no filtration or fining. An Extra Brut or Brut Nature dosage allow the expression of the purity and elegance of the wine producing a true and lively Champagne.
Since of the origin of the Domaine, receiving, enriching and transmitting is the philosophy of this family made of listening, respect, passion and staring.
This owner-harvesters and winemakers family has chosen the name of ELEMART ROBION for their champagne because it is, above all, a family and a family soil. ROBION is the family name and ELEMART stands for the first letter of their tree son’s names: Eloi, LEopold and MARTin.
Champagne ELEMART ROBION is a champagne of soil and heart, vibrant and alive.
