Cota Winery
The story of Cota begins with grandfather Marko who in 1911 returned home to Croatia from America where he had emigrated and began planting vineyards around the picturesque village of Oklaj not far from the Dalmatian coast and near the magnificent Krka National Park. Grandfather Marko builds the cellar 3.5 meters underground and a small stone house by himself.
Petar Cota represents today the fourth generation of winemakers in the Cota family and has done nothing but maintain the totally natural approach used by his ancestors. Fresh, joyful, super drinkable wines, always to be served cold; made without the use of chemical preparations in the vineyard and practically without interventions in the cellar. Wines that fill the glass with the Croatian sun.
