Wassmann

Ralf and Susann, the first a born enthusiast of fermented juice, the second a lawyer who became a wine merchant, now channel their passions into winemaking.
You cannot imagine a better duo to buy a couple of hectares of land in Hungary with which to realize their dream: biodynamic production of great wines. Situated in the Villány wine historical region, the Wassmann winery was the first to convert (all the way back in 2003) to organic winemaking, already obtaining their Demeter certificate by 2011.

All wines by Susann and Ralf conform to the highest biodynamic standards: unadulterated, vegan, and of course, very low in sulfites.
Their red wines are deep and strong, but with a surprising freshness that makes them very pleasant and drinkable.
Cabernet Franc is for sure the best example, and the real identification with Villány terroir, whereas Morizz, their sparkling version of the Portugieser grape variety, is an absolute sparkling surprise.
