Cantina Martinelli

Cantina Martinelli is the project of Francesco Martinelli, a natural wine producer from Verona and Soave the place where Dario Martinelli, philosopher and yoga teacher, bought an old-fashioned farmhouse in the 90s, surrounded by fields, vineyards and woods, to make it a place of regeneration and well-being, a trait d’union between man and nature.
At the beginning of the 2010s, Francesco Martinelli, his son, artist and restaurateur, returning from long trips abroad, supported by his friend the agronomist Antonio Zappoli, started a new adventure, all organic and biodynamic: the production of one of the first natural Soave wines with the Soave Doc denomination.
The Martinelli domain, today consists of 2 hectares of 70-year-old Garganega vineyards facing east, planted on the Fittà hill in Soave. A forest that will become home to the repopulation of ornithological species in danger of extinction. Furthermore, from 2023, 1 hectare of red berry vineyards in the Valpolicella area will enter the company.
The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified under spontaneous fermentation, with their own indigenous yeasts, without clarification or filtration.

The aim is to make a natural, fresh and drinkable wine, with high acidity, the fruity aroma of the best Garganega and the strong and fresh flavour of the minerality of the soil. An authentic Soave that best expresses all its atavistic mineral and hilly strength.
